Name of patient : Sri Subhashish Kotoky,
Age : 18 years.
Type of cancer : Bone cancer.
Subhashish Kotoky was a healthy boy studying at second year of graduation course in Dergaon Kamal Duarah college who regularly used to come to college by by-cycle & sometime by scooty. He was detected a malignant tumour at the back bone in March 2014 and operated at Guwahati Medical college. After the operation the doctor advised the family to take him to Chennai for giving chemotherapy at an estimated treatment cost of Rs. 7.0 lacs excluding travel, stay and other expenses. Unable to arrange such a huge amount of money by the family, the family approached the Bokakhat office of “Po’ritran’ Clinic for applying alternative treatment. After going through all relevant reports he was applied Intravenous vitamin B17 for 20 days along with other medicines. The patient could not get up from bed in pain before B17 treatment. After 15 days of B17 injection the patient could walk with the help of a stick. The treatment course was for 110 days. After completion of the treatment course the patient could walk a kilometre without support and recovered from all symptoms. A CT scan done showed no sign of cancer in the body.
