Name of patient : Ms. ……. Patient opted for not to publish identity due to
family reasons.
Age : 34 years.
Address : ………………, Guwahati.
Type of cancer : Ca Fallopian tube ( moderately differentiated with adenocarcinoma).
History of disease & treatment : The patient was complaining about watery discharge per vagina since 5 months. Physical finding and investigation concluded Tubo ovarian Mass and Small Cervical Polyp. Biopsy reported moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of Fallopian tube on 15/03/2012. Surgery was done on 08/03/2012 at Arya Hospital, Guwahati.
Problem while reporting : CA-125 increased to 538, otherwise normal. Patient desired to do alternative treatment for avoiding spread & recurrence.
Alternative treatment started from 02/04/2012.
Result reported after 8 weeks of treatment is that cancer marker CA-125 reduced from 538 to 7.32. Patient had clinical check up in Chennai on 03/07/2012 and after all check up found her normal. But the doctor in Chennai remarked that reduction of CA-125 value may be due to removal of the tumor after operation. However, these are customary explanation about success of alternative therapies from orthodox oncologists.
